Gentle Yoga and Yoga Nidra: Journey into the ultimate experience of relaxation | April 17 | 7-9PM
Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is gaining popularity due to it’s relaxing, rejuvenating and healing effects on the whole system: body, mind and emotional body. During this deep meditation, practitioners lie comfortably in the restorative posture of Savasana while being guided through various techniques designed to go deeper into relaxation; past wakefulness into the dream state of deep sleep, all while remaining conscious and aware. The benefits of a regular Yoga Nidra practice are numerous. It can be especially helpful to counteract the effects of stress and anxiety that are prevalent in our modern, busy culture. Join meditation and yoga instructor Marin McCallen for one hour of gentle Pranayama & Asana to prepare the body, followed by about one hour of blissfully restful, rejuvenating Yoga Nidra.
