In the first half of this workshop series, we will explore a ‘tapas’ practice. Tapas means self-discipline, meditation, and a means of inner self-purification (perfection of the body and the organs through the lessening of impurities). In this fiery practice, we will delve into a vigorous and dynamic flow building inner heat, exploring twists and arm balances (and probably a handstand or two!) taking a close look at the binding stories we tell ourselves and burning them in the fire of our practice.
The second part of this workshop series will round out the weekend with a ‘sattvic’ practice. Sattva is the quality of balance, harmony, purity, & positive attitude. This nourishing practice will be a counter to the fiery vigourous practice of Friday evening as we move through a methodic flow of heart and hip openers. This practice is designed to ease and nourish the mindbody allowing us to plant new seeds of what we truly want to manifest in our lives.
