Melodic and Rhythmic Soundscapes and Songs with Matt Venuti

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Matt Venuti is coming to the Center after his 9th consecutive US tour, sharing his extraordinary blend of World, Ambient and Americana music while accompanying himself playing rare and captivating melodic-percussive acoustic instruments developed in Switzerland, as well as the highly expressive and dynamic Electronic Valve Instrument (EVI) wind-synthesizer that he layers with a looper. He was among the first to explore these instruments and share them with the world. Matt was given the 2019 honors of being Artist In Residence In The Everglades (Miami based AIRIE Program) for the month of March and Artist in Resident of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia for September.

A longtime bandleader with deep musical roots in San Francisco, Matt is also a poet and storyteller. His lyrics tell a story from “the rhythm of life” and “the heart of the road”; an honest, soul-filled, inspiring and often humorous musical journey that is beautifully melodic with entrancing grooves.

Matt has a history of performing at major festivals, events and diverse venues throughout the Americas and occasionally abroad, including the Main TED conference and 4 different TEDx conferences. He tours extensively, performing over 100 solo concerts per year. He also performs with his ensemble, The Venusians, who have a long and storied history in San Francisco and beyond. He has multiple album releases that have charted well on radio and are all available on your favorite download sites. // FB & IG: Matt Venuti Music
