Working with Anger, Burnout and Climate Anxiety

Hosted by activists in the Sunrise Movement, a movement led by young people making the climate crisis an urgent priority.

We acknowledge the strain on the mental states of those who are aware of the crises that face our world today. Where it’s tempting to disengage, we instead commit to solutions through our physical, mental and emotional labor. Join us to discuss tools, cultivate presence and strategize about sustainable energy within ourselves. There is joy and connection to be found in this space.

This event is our way of bridging the gap between mindfulness practices and how they can help with climate anxiety and activist burnout in ourselves and our community.

What to expect:
Deep dive with us into the importance, history and the practice of mindfulness, finding the tools to fine tune these practices in order to serve our purpose of creating a more just world.

What to bring:
A cushion, pillow or blanket, something comfortable to sit on. There will be some provided in The Center but not guaranteed!

This is a free event, however donations are welcome and will go directly to The Center and Sunrise's funding of actions and events. - RSVP HERE

The event will start at 6:00 PM sharp! Please arrive on time, or early for some tea and conversation. :)
